Case study · e-commerce, logistics, development

An e-commerce that changes with the seasons.

Vita da Furese doesn't have a fixed catalog: availability, weight, delivery, and products change constantly. The website had to be able to keep up.

Project Life as a Furese Sector agriculture and direct sales Platform WordPress + WooCommerce Channels local, Italy, B2B

Not a normal online store.

Vita da Furese is an agricultural project in Nardò that sells local and seasonal products online, in-store, and through deliveries and supplies.

The job wasn't just about listing fruits and vegetables on WooCommerce. The site had to manage variable availability, products by weight or packaging, local deliveries, national shipping, and professional contacts.

The problem

The catalog is never the same as yesterday.

01

Different products, different rules.

A canned product can be shipped with standard shipping. A leafy vegetable requires different times and conditions. An avocado can be sold individually, by weight, or in boxes.

Each card had to communicate availability, origin, quantity, delivery method and possible variations without making the catalogue difficult to manage.

02

Three ways to sell on the same site.

The project brings together local orders with delivery in Salento, shipments throughout Italy, and supplies for restaurants, agritourism businesses, retailers, and wholesalers.

The platform had to distinguish these flows without creating three separate sites.

The solution

WooCommerce adapted to real work.

01 · CATALOGUE

Seasons and availability

Categories, variants, weight, packaging, out-of-stock products, and waiting list.

02 · LOGISTICS

Destination and product

Local costs for postcodes, standard shipping and Guaranteed Fresh mode.

03 · REPORT

Private individuals and professionals

Account, points collection, reserved area and dedicated supplies.

The main parts

A system, not a showcase.

03

Deliveries in Salento.

The cost is calculated based on the area or postal code. Days, times, and areas served are explained directly during the purchase process, reducing repetitive requests.

04

Shipments throughout Italy.

The site distinguishes between standard shipping, suitable for resistant products, and Guaranteed Fresh shipping for more delicate items. A prompt in the cart helps you choose the correct shipping method.

05

Availability and waiting list.

A farm product may run out and return after a harvest. Anyone who finds an item out of stock can leave an email and receive an alert when it becomes available again.

06

Professional supplies.

Restaurants, agritourism businesses, retailers, and wholesalers find dedicated sections and access points, with products and quantities different from those available in the regular public shop.

Mobile experience

The shop must be in your pocket.

A significant portion of visits come from smartphones. Navigation has been designed to quickly access products, categories, the shopping cart, account, and loyalty points.

Over time, improvements were made to WooCommerce queries, categories, cache, and product loading to keep the catalog searchable even as the site grew.

The result

A platform that grows with your business.

Vita da Furese brings together online sales, local delivery, national shipping, fresh produce, loyalty programs, and professional supplies.

The value of a project isn't a single feature. It's the ability to add or correct a piece without losing touch with the day-to-day work: what's available today, where it can go, and who needs to buy it.

What began as an e-commerce site has gradually become the digital infrastructure of an agricultural business.
